1.         What is flashing and when it is needed?
2.        The advantages and disadvantages of flashing.

What is flashing and when it is needed?

Flash android or android flashing is simply modifying the version of your android Operating System or OS. It is the process of installing Stock ROM or Custom ROM, Stock recovery or Custom recovery to enhance android device to fulfill the user preferences.

       The most common reason of flashing is so that a locked phone from one cellular network can be used on different cellular network after flashing. You may also flash to change the version of your phone Operating system. 

  

 Disadvantages of flashing.

• When you flash wrong ROM file then there will be a lot of problems in your phone and your phone may be dead.
• Voids phone warranty after flashing or rooting.
• Increase the possibly of viruses.   

Advantages of flashing.

•  You can upgrade or downgrade your phone to any version.
•    You can fix any problem in your phone.
•    You can install Custom ROM of your own choice. 

 Steps used during flashing.

• Rooting is necessary during flashing process.
• Custom recovery. Installation of Custom recovery is necessary for rooting and flashing.
• Backup.  Make a backup copy of your data.
• Custom or Stock ROM files.
• You may need USB Cable and Computer.   

What is Rooting.

Rooting is the process allowing users of android operating system to attain full control known as root access . With root access you can edit your smart phone operating system. With root access you can edit RAM, internal memory and SD memory etc.  With root access you can change your Phone IMEI number. Root access is a Super User binary installed in your android which has root access.

Advantages of Rooting.

•  With root access you can edit system files, remove system files and add new functions. 
• With root access you can increase RAM and ROM of your system for better performance.With root access you can stop all apps running in background it will increase your battery life. 
• With root access you can install CUSTOM ROM of your choice to your phone and upgrade or downgrade the version of your phone OS.

Disadvantages of Rooting.

• It voids warranty. If want you can unroot your phone and warranty will be back. 
• With rooting process your phone may be dead.Higher-up vulnerability to Viruses.Update Problems. 

What is back up.


Dear brothers, backup means that if you have a lot of data in your mobile and you want that data to never go away from you, that is, it will not be deleted, then you will make a copy of it and that copy You can save a file in your memory card and whenever you delete something you can restore it from the memory card ....

You can back up all your data in it like:

Call History

Messages

Bookmark

Mobile Settings, etc ...

And whenever you need to, you can restore your data .....
So guys this thing is called backup

How to Backup.

Here i will use Easy BackUp and Restore app it is very good and small in size.

 Open the app it will ask you Do you want to crate a new back Up  then click on yes.

the give the address of file where you want to save the back up file select SD Card and give name and click on OK. the process of back up will be start and will be completed in few minutes.

 How to restore Backup.

 To restore backup you need to open the same application on which you have backup the data where click on restore and the path where you have saved the back up file and select that file. here you can select from the back up which files you want to restore select that files and press Ok.

 What is recovery.

When we power Off our phone and press 

Volume UP + Power Button

Or

Volume UP +Power Button+ Home Button 

at the same time for a few second then a factory setting open on android screen which we call recovery. We need recovery Mod when our mobile did not power ON. the we go to recovery and reset the phone. 

 
 Types of recovery
There are two types of recovery 
1. Stock Recovery 
2. Custom Recovery

Stock recovery:

The recovery which is already flashed in mobile from company side is called stock recovery. With the help of stock recovery we can remove lock screen and more the main function of recovery is to delete or install  all or some user data files.  Stock recovery is very limited.

You can enter into recovery Mode by pressing

Volume UP + Power Button

Or

Volume UP +Power Button+ Home Button 

for a few seconds

from here with factory reset we can remove lock screen and minor bug fixes

  Custom recovery:

Custom recovery is that one which is not provided by the company it has been made by third party developers, the custom recovery is  made from editing the stock recovery by developers and more functionalities is added in custom recovery.

Flashing recovery Method 1:

First of all download custom recovery for your phone from google by entering Custom Recovery for  "your mobile name +Mobile Model" you will get custom recovery from the google which will be 10 to 15 MB in size. After downloading the recovery rename the recovery  file to recovery.img and save it to memory card. The download Mobile Uncle Tool an android application from the link below

install the app and open it then click on recovery Update

and then you will see the custom recovery which you have pasted in memory Card click on that you will ask are you sure to flash recovery? then click on the OK  and when you click OK your Phone will be reboot. and the custom recovery will be opened.  

Flashing recovery Method 2:

Download an android app namely flashify from Here 

Open the app give root permissions , click on the back up/restore  back up your current recovery if something went wrong you can restore it. After back up click on flash and select recovery.img in option, click choose file if you have already downloaded the custom recovery or download from google when flashing complete click on reboot now. click on "never show this on screen during boot again"  congratulation your recovery has installed.

Flashing recovery Method 3:

 Download ROM manager in your phone from here
Open the application select recovery setup in option, click on ClockworkMod recovery , Click on your Mobile Model , click flash  ClockworkMod recovery, flashing of recovery will be start and in few minutes it will complete when the process is complete reboot system.  You done!

Types of ROMS: 

There are two types of ROMS 1. Stock ROM and 2. Custom ROM

STOCK ROM:

Stock ROMs are the ones which come by default in Android phones or tablets. These are customized versions of Android developed by manufacturers and carriers to let users stick to their devices with unique looks and features. The "out-of-the-box" smartphones are all shipped with stock ROM.
Main Advantages of Stock ROM

1. Keep the warranty. Stock ROMs would not void your warranty of Android devices. One of the biggest reasons why users don't go for the custom ROMs is that rooting will immediately void your warranty. Installing a custom ROM needs to get a root access. Most of Manufacturers prohibit rooting or installing a custom Android version.
2. Pre-installed apps. Android devices with stock ROMs usually come with lots of pre-installed apps. These apps sometime are good enough to attract customers such as music players, live wallpapers, app store, calendar, weather and so on. However, these pre-installed apps sometime are seldom used by users which are called bloatwares. In that, this advantage may turn into disadvantage.
3. Premium Features. Just like the pre-installed apps, Stock ROMs also come with lots of premium features which are not available in custom ROMs. These features include home screen, font, launcher or app drawer. Devices which developed by different manufacturers shiped different premium features and apps.

 Custom ROM:

Custom ROMs are the ones which are customized or developed from the original source code of Android. Custom ROMs are not provided by Google or other mobile vendors but are developed and maintained by community and its contributors. The developed Custom ROMs differ from the original source code in features and looks.
Main Advantages of Custom ROM

1. Root access. Custom ROMs provide you root access of your Android system. If you own an Android with stock ROM and want to get rid of the stock ROM to enjoy the custom one, first you need to root your Android. A custom ROM enables you to do anything in your phones or tablets.
2. Quick updates. Once the latest Android version releases, the stock ROM enables you to update to the newest one without waiting. Stock ROMs controlled by the manufacturers or carriers may don't provide this update service or take long time to do it.
3. Better performance. Custom ROMs let you install third-party apps you like without any limitations and remove any system apps which can't be uninstalled in stock ROM. That's make custom ROM perform and function better than stock ROM. With custom ROMs, users themselves can customize the home screen, font, UI, UX, anything they prefer. An user will become the master of the Android device with the custom ROM.

What is Necessary to flash Custom ROM in your Phone?

• First of  all your mobile need to be rooted without root custom ROM will not be flashed. 
• Back Up your data before flashing Custom ROM.
• Unlock bootloader 
• Every phone have different bootloader unlock process. you can check on google for your phone.
• Install Custom recovery, which is already discussed.
• To flash Custom ROM you need Custom ROM Zip file for your android. You can find Custom ROM by searching XDA-DEVELOPER  site
• You need Google app zip file for your phone download it from here 

How to flash Custom ROM:

• Power off Your Phone 

• When the Phone is powered Off go to recovery by pressing Volume Up+ Power Button for a few seconds now you will be in the custom recovery screen. 
• Click on Wipe
• and select Swipe
• Your phone will be formatted,  reset of phone is necessary before flashing.
• Then go to home page of recovery.
•  Click on Install.
• And select the custom ROM zip file
• Swipe to conform Flash
• Flashing will be started
• Wait till installation finished
• When installation finished select wipe cache/Dalvik and swipe down
• Then come to the main page of recovery 
• Click on install
• Select Gapps Zip file with same procedure
•   when installation finished go to menu and click on Reboot
• It will take Some time to turn ON wait for it...........

Congratulations! Custom ROM   has been flashed.

How to disable Auto Play Videos in facebook

Hi friends how are you. Today I will teach you how to disable Auto Play Videos in Facebook.

For PC:

 From the Upper right corner Select Account.

then Click Privacy and Settings

Then click on settings

Then scroll down to videos.

Here Turn Off Auto Play Videos.

Here you can change Videos Quality

For Mobile:

Click the upper right three bars 

Then click settings

Then scroll down to media and contacts

Then choose never auto play videos,

Here you can change other settings like videos quality and more
